WellRight and Terryberry Partner to Expand Wellness Rewards Program Offering

Partnership forged with rewards recognition company Terryberry

Chicago, IL (June 4, 2018) 100-year-old Terryberry today announced the introduction of Terryberry Wellness, a cloud-based employee wellness program that provides an integrated portal for wellness education and activities, together with social encouragement and rewards for healthy behaviors.

The debut of Terryberry Wellness follows a new partnership between Terryberry and WellRight, a complete wellness program company, offering everything from comprehensive health assessments, biometrics and wellness education, to over 200 group and personal wellness challenges using gamification, fitness tracker integration, and reporting.

“Terryberry helps organizations build workplace cultures that foster their most valued attitudes, behaviors and contributions. For most businesses, healthy lifestyle choices are among those desired behaviors.” says Mike Byam, Terryberry’s Managing Partner.  “The partnership with WellRight helps Terryberry provide our clients with an integrated solution for health assessment, education and challenges, plus communication, incentives and rewards, all within our 360 Recognition hub,” explained Byam.

Employee wellness programs continue to grow in size and scope throughout the country and are responsible for an average 150% return-on-investment for employers, according to a study by the Rand Corporation.

“Reducing health care costs and the strain that is placed on organizations when employees miss work due to illness are obvious reasons that investing in employee wellness is important,” Byam said, adding that emotional and mental wellness are also important elements of a healthy workforce. “But much more than that, wellness allows employees to live more fulfilling lives.”

“We are thrilled to find a trusted partner in Terryberry that shares our philosophy of encouraging, inspiring and rewarding healthy behaviors that bolster improved wellness,” stated Tad Mitchell, President and CEO at WellRight.

“A good employee wellness program encourages individuals to take their next steps toward becoming their best selves.  When employees are feeling well physically, emotionally and have a purpose, they are more focused, energetic, and ready to give their best effort each day,” said Mitchell.  “Our program covers the typical physical and nutritional dimensions, plus emotional, social, occupational, and financial dimensions, in order to address the needs of the whole person and overall well-being.”

Terryberry and WellRight will debut the Teryberry Wellness program with demonstrations available at the 2018 Society of Human Resources Management Conference in June.

WellRight and Marquee Health Team Up to Make Wellness Coaching Free for Employees and Families

Wellness Coaching for the Entire Family Creates Healthy Habits, Increases Success Rates for Corporate Wellness Programs

Chicago, IL (April 16, 2018) -- For many companies that offer wellness programs to employees, creating lasting change in employee behavior is an ongoing challenge. WellRight, a leading provider of corporate wellness programs, and Marquee Health, a top provider of health and wellness services, believe they have the solution: free wellness coaching—not just for employees, but for the families of employees as well.

The two companies have been partnering together since 2016 to provide Marquee Health wellness coaching for employees participating in a WellRight wellness program. The introduction of free coaching for employees and their families marks an enhancement of that relationship, which both companies believe will dramatically improve the results employers see from their wellness programs.

“This combined offering increases coaching effectiveness in two ways,” says Jonathon Short, President of Marquee Health. “First, combining coaching with WellRight’s platform to track activity between coaching sessions dramatically increases positive outcomes. It also gives our coaches visibility into what’s happening in between sessions, allowing them to do quick follow up communications as necessary. Second, extending coaching to employees’ families at no additional cost helps the entire family learn to make healthier choices—significantly increasing the odds that the employee’s new healthy habits will stick.”

Tad Mitchell, President and CEO of WellRight, sees coaching as a way to help people grow. “One of the reasons we partnered with Marquee Health is that their coaches are trained to coach on all aspects of wellness, not just physical wellness but also emotional, social, occupational, financial, and purpose,” he says. “That’s why we call them ‘life coaches.’ For example, the last several months my coach has been helping me with my goal to better understand other people—something that will have a huge impact on my life and overall wellness.”

Employees and their families can access the WellRight online portal to connect with a Marquee Health coach. To start, WellRight recommends members complete the Health Assessment, which analyzes six key dimensions of comprehensive well-being: physical, emotional, financial, social, occupational, and purpose—identifying areas where coaching might help the member. Coaching sessions are conducted via phone, email, or video call, and schedules are built around the member’s availability. Coaches help the member determine their well-being goals, develop a plan for achieving those goals, and then execute that plan—all with a gentle nudge of accountability to help drive success.
