Recognition highlights how WellRight helps organizations find health risks early and keep participants engaged long enough to change it.
CHICAGO, Oct. 22, 2026 — WellRight, a corporate wellness leader delivering customizable and complete wellness programs, announced it has been selected to receive the 2026 Chronic Care Transformation Award from the Population Health Alliance (PHA). The award, sponsored by The Stone Family in memory of Robert E. Stone, former PHA president and board member, is one of PHA’s Named Awards for excellence in population health improvement. It was presented to WellRight Senior Vice President of Enterprise Strategy and Government Programs, Charlie Zei, at the PHA 2026 Annual Innovation Summit in Washington, D.C.
Chronic disease drives roughly 90% of U.S. health care spending, according to the CDC, and much of it is shaped by risk factors that go unaddressed: blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, tobacco use, and missed preventive care. Most organizations already invest in screenings, benefits, and programs, but the gap is getting people to use them. WellRight was recognized for closing that gap.
“Most organizations already invest in screenings, benefits, and wellbeing programs, but the missing piece is getting people to use them,” said Zei. “This recognition from PHA reflects the work our team and our customers do every day to find health risks early and keep participants engaged long enough to change it.”
WellRight connects early risk identification, personalized support, and human coaching in one platform, with capabilities that:
WellRight services and partners with organizations across 32 industries, including employers, health systems, health plans, resellers, TPAs, and government programs. Across its book of business, approximately 59% of participants complete the Health Risk Assessment, 68% complete biometric screening, and 61% engage in wellness programming. Participants report 93% satisfaction with the platform, and 99.8% of coaching participants are satisfied or very satisfied.
A three-year analysis of one multi-state health system in WellRight's book-of-business with more than 40,000 employees estimated $89.5 million in total value against $50.5 million in program cost, or $39.1 million in net savings. This health system’s analysis also credits increased preventive care and biometric screening utilization with about $11.9 million of that value.
“As health plans and ACOs take on more accountability for chronic disease, engagement is what turns funding and clinical programs into outcomes,” says Zei. “That is where WellRight focuses.”
